Heartwood Retrievers, LLC is a full-time, family operation that breeds and trains exceptional field-bred Labrador Retrievers from proven, Irish and British working bloodlines. At Heartwood Retrievers, we take great pride in providing our clients with authentic, first generation gundog puppies, started gundogs and companion dogs with outstanding pedigrees. Our main goal is to better the breed and to provide families with phenomenal hunting companions that have exceptional game finding ability, style and a temperament that is desirable in the field and/or the home.

Our business is based on the quality of our puppies/started dogs not on the quantity that we sell. Therefore, we selectively breed our proven, imported females via AI, to the top Field Trial Champions from Ireland and the UK. We want to be known for offering our clients authentic, first generation puppies/started dogs with impeccable pedigrees that excel in the field and the home. Period.
